Volunteer Spotlight November 2022: Andy Morantz

Andy Morantz

Can you tell us about yourself and your background?

I’ve had a career as a musician, radio producer and audio production/studio owner.

What motivated you to begin volunteering with JFCS?

Last year, my friend Sheri Fine (one of the Annual Benefit Co-Chairs) asked me to join her on the Annual Benefit Steering Committee and I did.

What JFCS programs do you volunteer with and how long have you been volunteering with JFCS?

I’ve worked on the Steering Committee doing various tasks. This year, I’m working with Dale Engquist (another Annual Benefit Co-Chair) on the live music portion of the event.

What’s your favorite part about volunteering with JFCS?

I’m always impressed with the success of the Annual Benefit.

Do you have a memorable story about your JFCS volunteer experience to share?

Snacks at meetings and being part of something with such a strong mission.

What would you say to someone who’s thinking of volunteering with JFCS?

JFCS is a good organization to volunteer with. They give you tasks to perform and opportunities to do many more.

We hope you will join us for JFCS’ 34th Annual Benefit on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest in Minnetonka and support our annual Online Auction, which will run Dec. 4-14. Click here for more information and to register.
