Sustainable Soup Sunday with PJ Library and Heilicher

Sun Jan 16 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

All families are invited to join PJ Library and Heilicher for our first annual joint MLK service project. Get ready to zoom in from your kitchen and cook along with professional chef Liz Kaplan.

In honor of this national holiday, we are cultivating a regular practice of sharing food with people who could use a boost and learning that this can be done by anyone at any time. This year, MLK day coincides with Tu B’Shvat, the birthday of the trees when we are reminded to be sustainable stewards of the earth. During this program, families will create a delicious soup to distribute to those in need and learn about integrating sustainability practices into your homes.

Register below by Tuesday, January 11 to reserve a free kit with ingredients and supplies to make soup, a variety of items to celebrate Tu B’Shvat, and a meaningful PJ Library book about the Jewish value of feeding the hungry.

Registration is now full. Please contact Carrie Fink at cfink@jfcsmpls.org if you’re interested in being added to the waitlist.
