Keeping the Spirit Alive, the conference for caregivers supporting a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia is designed to support caregivers and let them know that they are not alone on their journey. This free conference for caregivers, family members, lay leaders, clergy and professionals provides practical approaches for caregiving, tactics to take care of the caregiver, plus educational and research updates about dementia, through a Jewish lens. The conference also provides information about community resources that are available. JFCS in partnership with Jewish Family Service of St. Paul hosts the bi-annual conference.
This year’s conference will be virtual, featuring keynote speaker Jackie Wiechman. Jackie will share her personal journey in caring for her dad, Alan – diagnosed at age 71 with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease – all while raising a young family of her own.
