JFCS is proud to host Better Angels Red Blue workshop. This event brings together citizens from opposite ends of the political spectrum for structured conversations, with a focus on listening and reflecting.
When you register, you will identify which way you lean (Red or Blue). Red participants are those who lean Conservative/Libertarian/Republican. Blue participants are those who lean Liberal/Progressive/Democrat. Independents are welcome to attend but must identify which way they lean for the purposes of the workshop. We will need approximately equal numbers of Red and Blue attendees. The Red and Blue side will each have 6-8 participants, who will engage in small- and large-group discussions throughout the workshop with individuals of both the same and different political persuasions.
Registrants beyond these numbers are welcomed and encouraged to attend as observers. Observers will not participate in the discussions directly but will have the opportunity to watch and listen throughout the day, as well as to join the participants for conversations at certain times.
Once registered, I will be in touch to let you know if you will be an a participant or observer. If you have a strong preference one way or another, please indicate this in your registration. We will do our best to accommodate everyone.
Who can come? All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Registration is required and the event will be capped at 35. When you register you will identify which way you lean (Red or Blue).
