JFCS COVID-19 On-Site Safety Protocols: The health, safety, and wellbeing of our clients, staff, and volunteers is JFCS’s top priority. Among our many safety protocols, all visitors to JFCS’s Golden Valley office must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative test result (PCR test within the past 72 hours). Please present your documentation (electronic copy accepted) to the JFCS Receptionist or other staff hosting you. All visitors must wear a face mask at all times inside JFCS. JFCS remains committed to providing virtual service options as well. Thank you for helping us keep you and others safe and healthy.


Counseling and Mental Health Services

Therapists at JFCS are currently seeing fully vaccinated, masked clients in-person and also providing online therapy to all. Our services are confidential. We accept most insurance, including Medicare.


Food, Groceries and Medication

If you or someone you know is struggling with food and groceries, we can help you review all of your options including hot meals, delivered meals, kids’ meals, SNAP benefits (food stamps) and grocery and medication delivery.


Kosher Meals on Wheels

JFCS provides Kosher Meals on Wheels to clients within our service area. Kosher meals are safely delivered to clients’ doors, in line with current social distancing measures. Services are available on a sliding fee scale.

Emergency Financial Aid

We are able to respond to financial needs by providing assistance in a variety of ways. Through scholarships, grants and no-interest loans, we provide support through challenging times. Additionally, with an initial gift from the Minneapolis Jewish Federation, JFCS has launched a COVID-19 Emergency Financial Assistance Fund. This fund will assist Jewish families and individuals, or those who work at Jewish institutions that demonstrate an unanticipated financial need directly related to the Coronavirus pandemic or economic turndown.

Parent Coaching

JFCS Parent Coaching provides tailored and evidence-based supports for parents who are dealing with a specific issue or concern with their children or family. Parent coaches assist families in creating a plan of action to effectively address the problem in an authentic way. They are not therapists – they do not diagnose conditions. Parent coaching is generally short-term and forward-looking in nature – the goal is to empower and educate parents and provide them with tools for success in just a few meetings. Parent coaches are certified professionals and are able to meet with you in person, over the phone, or via video conference. We work with families of any religion, size or shape with children ages 2 through college-age.
