Emergency Financial Assistance 952-546-0616 When a financial crisis occurs, JFCS assists agency clients and members of the Jewish community with financial assistance and counseling. JFCS counselors have access to a variety of financial programs depending on each person's needs. For information and assistance, please contact 952-546-0616 and ask to speak to an intake counselor.
The Individual Referral Program (IRP) Leah Temkin This program is sponsored by the Minneapolis Employment and Training Program. IRP has funds available for tuition, books and tools for vocational and technical training that lead to sustainable, full-time employment.
Intake and Resource Connection 952-546-0616 When people don’t know where to turn for help, they can call JFCS. The Information and Resourcs Connection staff has a thorough knowledge of resources in the Jewish and general communities. Information and Resource Connection staff can help you connect with our services and manage much of the emergency financial assistance available through JFCS.
952-546-0616 JFCS helps members of the Twin Cities Jewish community who face unexpected financial challenges. The program makes it possible for eligible individuals to secure an interest-free loan of up to $7,500 with two co-signers.
Camp Scholarships For an application click here. There are several funds at JFCS that have been established to assist Jewish youths to participate in various summer experiences. If your child is interested in taking part in a camping or travel experience, or in pursuing another area of special interest during the summer, please contact Laurie Moser at 952-542-4861 or lmoser@jfcsmpls.org for more information or an application. Scholarships are available online and must be submitted by March 15 th. Letter informing applicants of the status of their requests are generally sent out by April 30.
PJ Library Camp Scholarships PJ Goes to Camp is an incentive program for first-time campers who are subscribers, or may have been subscribers or are a sibling of a subscriber, to The PJ Library® and live anywhere in North America. The program is managed by the Foundation for Jewish Camp, in partnership with the Grinspoon Institute and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation's The PJ Library® Program.
JFCS administers a number of scholarship funds for post-secondary education. If you are interested in applying for any of these funds, download and complete the Scholarship Application. Then submit it, along with three letters of recommendation and your most recent academic transcript to: JFCS, Attn: Scholarship 13100 Wayzata Boulevard, Suite 300, Minnetonka, MN 55305.
