Passover begins sunset March 29 and lasts through sunset April 6, 2010. The two Passover Seders (the communal Passover meals and retelling of the Passover story of being liberated from slavery ) are after sunset on March 29 and 30.
All holidays can be difficult for people who are dealing with illness or loss. Yet they can also create an opportunity, a doorway through which individuals and families may seek out the comfort of their spiritual community.
Passover is an opportunity for Jewish individuals to see ourselves as if we personally struggled with slavery in Egypt, and each of us was led from our own personal darkness into the light.
